The Melbourne-based Arbuthnot (pictured) has worked for more than 15 years at production companies and broadcasters such as SBS, BBC, Channel 4, PolyGram Films, Nickelodeon, Foxtel and EQ Media.

A former investment and development manager at Screen Australia, Arbuthnot has also worked as a producer on projects such as Daniel King’s feature documentary Her Name Is Nanny Nellie, which was part of Jambika’s initial slate at launch, and as a line producer on season two of Stuff The British Stole. He is also a current board member of the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC).

Jambika has also added Shannon Owen’s feature doc Left Write Hook (Sweetshop and Green), produced by Gal Greenspan and Rachel Forbes, to its slate. The doc, currently available on Netflix in Australia, follows eight survivors of childhood sexual abuse who embark on a transformative journey through a unique writing-and-boxing program led by Dr. Donna Lyon, who also produces.

Jambika launched in January, founded by Juan Solera, who serves as head of acquisitions and sales, and Jota Salinas, the company’s head of finance and sales.
